"Er, thank you. I'd, um, appreciate that." John says, gesturing a bit awkwardly for her to lead the way. He could find the history section on his own eventually, and there's a slim chance that he might stumble upon something interesting if he let himself wander. But time is a limited resource he isn't in any position to waste, and knows he'd look more conspicuous on his own than he would with company.
"And my hopes aren't particularly high," he adds as he follows her through the stacks. "Darrow doesn't seem to mythologize itself with any internal consistency... at least, not from what I've seen. But the university's collection might have something." Maybe not anything earth-shattering, but... well. It's more of an intellectual exercise, at this point, than a search for anything actionable.
